Laptops have become increasingly more popular over the last few years. Now that many laptops have been in service for a few years, AC connector problems are becoming increasingly more common

AC connectors are the small connector attached to the motherboard where you plug in the power adapter. These are small with delicate legs that are soldered onto the motherboard. It is common for these to break or for the solder joint on the motherboard to break. Sadly, it usually happens after the warranty is up. When the AC connector suffers this type of damage you cannot power up your laptop.
